FARMERY FAMILIES       Farmery annual gathering Saturday September 24th 2011    Alan Royce Moorhouse I was born and brought up in Sussex but now live in Stroud in Gloucestershire. From my house I look out over the Stroudwater canal towards two old Cotswold stone wollen mills (my great grandmother was born at one) and Rodborough Fort. Stroud is a town founded on the woollen industry and is at the convergence of 5 valleys. My background is hotel management, the subject of my degree from Portsmouth Polytechnic. I used to work for a brewery in London, providing training, support and development to their portfolio of 23 hotels but now am College Services Manager at the National Star College near Cheltenham.
